‘This is not the right place’ for NFL players to play during the national anthem

By AJ Mast/Associated PressAssociated PressWASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has said the U.S. military should be able to protect the country from terrorists, but it would be better if the military can’t do much of anything to stop the violence.

Trump told Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” that the military should “be able to deal with these things.”

But Trump has been under fire from his own party for a number of reasons for his reluctance to declare a national emergency, including his repeated assertions that the country is at a “tipping point” that could lead to more terrorism.

Trump on Friday also announced that the U,S.

Navy will be carrying out a major deployment to the Asia-Pacific region, as well as a new military base in Japan.

“This is the right time,” Trump said.

“We’re in a really tough position right now.”

Trump was asked if he believed the military was capable of preventing future attacks.

“I don’t know.

I think we need to be able — I don’t think we’re going to be safe,” he said.”

But I’m not looking at a military or an army or an Air Force.

I’m looking at, you know, a small number of people that are doing a really good job, and I think the military is going to have to do a lot more.”

The president’s comments were in response to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showing that 73 percent of Republicans want to see more troops deployed to the region.

The poll, conducted Wednesday and Thursday, also showed that Americans would prefer to see the military take more action against terrorists.

Only 36 percent said they support a military response to any potential terrorist attacks in the United States.

About 44 percent of respondents said they favored having more troops in the region, while 41 percent favored a smaller deployment.

The NBC/WSJ poll also found that 57 percent of voters would prefer that the United Nations handle conflicts in the Middle East.

That number has increased from 56 percent in March.

A CBS News/New York Times poll published Friday showed that 55 percent of Americans think that the Syrian government should be held accountable for the Aug. 21 chemical attack in Idlib, Syria.

More than one-third of Americans — 35 percent — believe the U to be the main reason for the attack, according to the poll.

A CNN/ORC International poll published on Friday found that 62 percent of U.s. adults said the chemical attack that killed more than 1,400 people in Idlib was the fault of the Syrian regime, including 59 percent of Democrats and 56 percent of independents.

That poll was conducted from July 9-14 among 1,005 adults nationwide.
